Papuan student successfully graduates from UMI's Industrial Engineering program: Proof that education transcends geographical boundaries.

MAKASSAR – Good news comes from the Muslim Uni­ver­sity of In­do­ne­sia (UMI), where a stu­dent from Papua has of­fi­cially gra­dua­ted from the In­dus­trial Engi­nee­ring Study Pro­gram at the Fa­culty of Engi­nee­ring. This gra­dua­tion stands as a tes­ta­ment to a spirit of lear­ning and per­se­ve­rance that trans­cends dis­tance and re­gio­nal ori­gins. In a heart­war­ming moment, the gra­duate was seen enga­ged in a friendly con­ver­sa­tion with one of his aca­de­mic su­per­vi­sors. The exc­ha­nge—filled with ent­hu­siasm and ge­nuine smiles—re­flec­ted the strong bond of sup­port and ca­ma­ra­de­rie bet­ween stu­dents and fa­culty at UMI. The lec­tu­rer ap­pea­red to be of­fe­ring both ap­pre­cia­tion and va­lua­ble advice for the gra­duate's future career path. This gra­duate from Papua un­der­took a long and chal­le­nging jour­ney during his stu­dies. Des­pite the need to adapt to a new en­vi­ron­ment in Ma­kas­sar, he proved that strong de­ter­mi­na­tion, cou­pled with hard work and a sup­por­tive campus com­mu­nity, leads to bril­liant suc­cess. The UMI In­dus­trial Engi­nee­ring Study Pro­gram ex­pres­sed its pride in this ac­hie­ve­ment. "This proves that edu­ca­tion is a bridge con­nec­ting all cor­ners of the nation. Now, hol­ding a Bac­he­lor of Engi­nee­ring degree, he car­ries great ex­pec­ta­tions: to apply the know­ledge and skills he has ac­qui­red to build and make a ta­ngi­ble con­tri­bu­tion—not only in his ho­me­land but also to the pro­gress of the in­dustry and the nation of In­do­ne­sia.
