Enhancing Academic Quality: Universitas Muslim Indonesia Conducts Internal Quality Audit at the Faculty of Industrial Technology

MAKASSAR – The In­do­ne­sian Muslim Uni­ver­sity (UMI), through its qua­lity as­su­rance body, con­duc­ted an In­ter­nal Qua­lity Audit (AMI) across the uni­ver­sity. The Fa­culty of In­dus­trial Tech­no­logy (FTI-UMI) ac­ti­vely par­ti­ci­pa­ted to ensure the suc­cess of this ini­tia­tive. The field audit for the FTI-UMI In­dus­trial Engi­nee­ring Study Pro­gram aimed to eva­luate the im­ple­men­ta­tion of qua­lity as­su­rance, verify com­pliance with es­ta­blis­hed stan­dards, and iden­tify areas for con­ti­nuous im­pro­ve­ment to en­hance the qua­lity of edu­ca­tion and ser­vi­ces.

 

The event took place in the FTI main mee­ting room and was at­ten­ded by the uni­ver­sity-level audit team, fa­culty lea­ders­hip, heads of study pro­grams, as well as aca­de­mic and ad­mi­nis­tra­tive staff. The mee­ting pro­cee­ded in an open and cons­truc­tive manner, co­ve­ring topics ra­nging from do­cu­ment com­ple­te­ness and the im­ple­men­ta­tion of aca­de­mic stan­dards to spe­ci­fic fin­dings that serve as the basis for im­me­diate im­pro­ve­ments.

 

This audit re­pre­sents a stra­te­gic move by UMI to main­tain com­pre­hen­sive qua­lity stan­dards and ensure that every work unit ad­he­res to ap­pli­ca­ble re­gu­la­tions. Fa­culty lea­ders­hip wel­co­med the ini­tia­tive and com­mit­ted to fol­lo­wing up on all au­di­tor re­com­men­da­tions to ensure that the edu­ca­tion pro­vi­ded be­co­mes inc­rea­singly high-qua­lity, ac­coun­ta­ble, and com­pe­ti­tive.

 

It is hoped that the audit re­sults will serve as a foun­da­tion for con­ti­nuous im­pro­ve­ment, ena­bling the FTI-UMI Fa­culty of In­dus­trial Tech­no­logy to pro­gress and pro­duce high-qua­lity gra­dua­tes who are well-pre­pa­red for the de­mands of the work­force and in­dus­trial ad­van­ce­ments.
