Profil Program Studi Teknik Industri

The Industrial Engineering Study Program at FTI-UMI was established on June 19, 1987, in response to the industry's need for professionals capable of designing, managing, and optimizing integrated systems. Initially focused on manufacturing engineering, the program has continuously evolved with the times, adapting to developments such as Industry 4.0, the green economy, and digital transformation. Its long history has produced graduates who contribute across various sectors, both nationally and internationally. Industrial Engineering graduates enjoy broad career prospects, spanning manufacturing (e.g., production system and supply chain design), services and consulting (business analysis and operational optimization), the technology industry (project management and business intelligence), and the public sector (industrial policy planning). The demand for graduates who can integrate technical, managerial, and data analysis skills ensures this profession remains highly relevant in the job market.

The program's strength lies in a curriculum designed to address current industrial challenges by combining theoretical learning with hands-on practice. Students benefit from modern laboratory facilities—such as ergonomics, system simulation, and smart factory labs—as well as internship opportunities at renowned companies and industry collaborations that ensure graduates are ready to compete globally. With proficiency in tools like data analytics and IoT, alongside professional certifications such as OHS (Occupational Health and Safety), Industrial Engineering graduates are prepared to pioneer efficient and innovative solutions for the industrial world. The program is committed to producing graduates who are not only competent but also ethical and globally minded, ready to face future challenges with creativity and strong leadership.
