HISTORY OF THE FACULTY OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY
The Faculty of Industrial Technology, Indonesian Muslim University was founded on June 16 1987, starting from the idea of Prof. Dr. Ir. Eng. BJ. Habibie (3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia), stated that in the framework of the government's program towards the industrialization process, universities are needed that are capable of producing human resources with morals and quality and industry orientation. Faculty of Industrial Technology, Indonesian Muslim University as UPPS which is one of the Faculties under Indonesian Muslim University. When it was first established, the Faculty of Industrial Technology developed two study programs, namely the Industrial Engineering Study Program and the Chemical Engineering Study Program. In 2001 UPPS submitted a proposal to open a Mining Engineering Study Program and in 2016 UPPS submitted a proposal to open a Professional Engineer Study Program. Currently the Chemical Engineering Study Program and Professional Engineer Program have achieved superior accreditation from the Independent Engineering Accreditation Institute (LAM Teknik) while the Industrial Engineering and Mining Engineering Study Programs have respectively achieved Excellent and Good accreditation and the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

MISI
- Organizing education in the field of industrial engineering with international standards by improving governance, increasing quality, relevance and sustainability.
- Carrying out research in the development of quality science and technology in the fields of engineering and enterprise based on Akhlaqul Karimah.
- Carry out community service activities, especially in the field of industrial engineering to improve human living standards.
OBJECTIVE
- Producing graduates who are competent, skilled in applying knowledge and expertise in the field of engineering, innovative and creative in solving problems based on the IJTIHAD Values which are based on character: Ihsan (always putting the public interest first), Jihad (dedicated and highly fighting), Obedient (Obedient and submissive and having noble character) Istiqomah (firm and enduring), Hanan (sensitive and caring for the environment) Adaptive to changes in scientific progress and technology as well as the dynamics of social and societal change, especially those related to his field of expertise.
- Produce research that can enrich scientific knowledge by finding new concepts, models and paradigms in the field of industrial technology based on Islamic values in supporting national and international development.
- Producing community service based on Islamic values from research results in the form of coaching, guidance and consultation in order to increase community participation and empowerment in national development.

- Providing the best service for stakeholders (students, parents, government, community, lecturers and employees) in improving the Imtaq, quality and supporting capacity of faculty management in an effective, efficient, transparent and accountable manner.
- Increasing capacity building and quality management towards high faculty competitiveness to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education.
- Providing the best results for graduate users by improving the quality, relevance and competitiveness of graduates in the field of industrial engineering.
