
Definition of Tracer Study
Tracer Study is an alumni tracing study which aims to find out alumni activities after graduating from higher education, the transition from the world of higher education to the world of work, work situations, acquisition of competencies, use of competencies in work and career journey. This search was carried out on alumni after 2 years of graduating from college. The benefits of tracer study can not only be felt by universities, but can also be used by other agencies, such as Higher Education and industry managers.
Objective:
- Knowing educational outcomes in the form of transition from the world of higher education to the world of work (including the job waiting period and the first job search process), the final work situation and the application of competencies in the world of work.
- Knowing educational output, namely self-assessment of mastery and acquisition of competence.
- Knowing the educational process in the form of evaluating the learning process and the contribution of higher education to the acquisition of competencies.
- Knowing educational input in the form of further exploration of sociobiographical information about graduates.
